Happy 4th of July!

Every day is a day off for me. The only thing different about today for me is that I’m going to Modesto to spend time with the family and to return Don’s motorcycle to him. On Tuesday he’s taking it into the shop to get the head bearings replaced and to get a new rear tyre installed. I’m seriously going to miss that bike. I’ve rather enjoyed having it for the last five months. I’m also extremely grateful that Don let me keep it when my car blew up, even though he got settled down in Modesto instead of taking a road job. I’m even more grateful that he let me drive his car when he came to pick up the bike for the weekends. Don, you have no idea how helpful you’ve been to me these last several months man. From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much! So what’s in store for me this weekend? Not a whole lot. Like I said, I’m heading to Modesto to spend the day with the family, eat hot dogs, and enjoy life. Tomorrow my friend Duarte brings me back home, takes me to dinner (he says he owes me a dinner and I’m not going to argue with him), and we go to Fry’s to build him a new computer. That should be fun – I haven’t gotten to play with new hardware since I got the new motherboard for MY computer. It should be nice playing with a whole new system. (Although there is a chance he may just buy a laptop instead of a desktop system, which is cool, too.) Sunday I’m prolly just gonna relax or maybe even head up to San Francisco for the Castro Street Fair. I understand it’s the weekend after Pride weekend, but I could be wrong. Either way, I’m making a weekend of relaxing, enjoying the company of friends and family, and being grateful that I’m still alive, have a home, and am loved. With that, I’ll stop being mushy. Thanks for visiting, have a great holiday weekend, and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
