Head gaskets take a lot of labor time which is what makes them so expensive… I had one done last year on my wife’s car and it cost $800. A good chunk of change but better than a new engine at $1700…
Did I mention that the mechanic called me and informed me that I need a new clutch? He’s just gonna charge me parts, but it brings up the cost to $1850. Ugh. I should start selling my body to science…
