In Memory…

and Grandma there. (Both of them were cremated.) The services were very nice; everyone who had something to share was encouraged to do so. My brother, Granddad’s caregiver in his final years, my cousin and I all had something to share. My aunt Carol started the sharing session. We laughed, we cried, and we shared our last goodbye. Again, it was a very nice memorial. I’m glad I had the opportunity to come along. The flight up here was fairly uneventful, but the approach was quot;spicy"… It was very windy up here in Spokane yesterday, but the landing was quite smooth. Our flight up was a nonstop on Southwest Airlines, from Oakland International. This was my first time flying out of Oakland. It was pretty nifty, but not as nice as Sacramento International. Oh, and the people driving to OAK were absolute assholes. The flight back will have a stopover in Seattle. I’ve never been to Sea-Tac before, so this will be another first for me. So I’ve essentially been without a connection since I’ve been here – the toll-free dialup number to my work has been out of commission since Tuesday, so I’ve had to use my uncle’s computer. This isn’t a bad thing except that he doesn’t use the Dvorak keyboard layout. Fortunately for me he uses Win2k on that computer and it was very easy for me to set up a hotkey combo so I could change back and forth. I’m really getting much faster at this layout. When I relax, I can really start ripping up the keys. So after five weeks of using this layout full time, I’ve really decided to keep it. 😉 Well, Kurt and I are watching The Matrix on VHS right now (yet another first for me), so I’m gonna leave it at that for tonite. I’ll post more tomorrow after I get home and have had a chance to upload this to my server. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
