A Taste From Childhood

will be pictures! In other news, you might notice the “Get Ubuntu” banner in the right-hand column, above the menu. The Ubuntu folks are releasing their now version this coming Thursday. I’ve been playing with it on both my desktop box and my MacBook Pro for the last two or three weeks now. I have to say that I’m very impressed. If you’re looking for a good beginner distribution of Linux, Ubuntu is a good choice in my book. (My cousin Cindy might disagree – she’s one of the developers / admins for the PCLinuxOS distribution of linux. PCLOS isn’t bad either, but I’m definitely a fan of Ubuntu here. πŸ™‚ Anyway… That’s all from me for now. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>

  1. Way to go “Cookie!”
A half pound of mince (ground beef) should easily make Spanish rice for at least four people, if you add 1 1/2 c. rice and a can of kidney beans — along with a tin of crushed tomatoes and a small tin of tomato sauce . . . then add enough water (about a cup?) to keep the whole thing from burning — add more if needed — and simmer for at least 20 minutes!
    Way to go!
