Vista'd

  • Windows Vista Ultimate – two copies
  • Windows Vista Home Premium – one copy
  • GEEK Definition T-shirt
  • GEEK Definition Mug
  • In case you were wondering… The definition of geek is:
    1. Obsessive Computer User: somebody who enjoys or takes pride in using computers or other technology, often to what others consider an excessive degree
    2. Someone with greater than normal computer skills
Yeah, this describes me to a tee. And the fact that I actually paid money for Microsoft software that I’m going to use… This is a change for me. Not that I’m a software pirate. I just haven’t had much of a use for any Microsoft Software that didn’t come pre-installed on my computer. But I’ve come to enjoy Vista so much, and since I have a 64-bit processor, I wanted the 64-bit version of the OS. So now I have it. It runs just as well as the 32-bit version, but now shows me all my installed RAM. I haven’t had any problems yet with drivers. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my printer manufacturer’s web site had 64-bit drivers available for download. Even Apple had a 64-bit version of iTunes available. And, of course, my computer manufacturer’s site had 64-bit versions of drivers available. I’ll post more about my Vista/x64 experience as it happens. For now, I’m happy to have had the opportunity for this. 🙂 Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!! P.S. In case you were wondering, that’s 1 copy of Ultimate for my PC, 1 copy for my laptop, and the Home Premium for my parents’ computer…]]>
