Happy Torkey Day!

sorts of stuff. I was helping, but I started to feel like I was in the way, so here I am. Other members of the family are arriving in small groups, the noise of the chatter is steadily increasing as more folks arrive, and the air takes on a friendly & loving athmosphere. One by one, we’re preparing to give thanks to the God of our own understanding and to fellowship with our loved ones. Thanksgiving is my personal favourite holiday. It’s the time of year that I get to spend visiting, catching up, and just plain enjoying being with the family. I may not subscribe to the religious right’s vision of Family Values, but I most certainly value my family. I’m grateful that I can spend time with the family this year, too. So what am I giving thanks for this year? There’s quite a bit, really. The main things are that I have a job, that I still have a home (even after not being able to pay rent for 18 months), and that I have friends & family who love and care for me. I think that final reason is the best one of them all. It’s most certainly my favorite. 🙂 Anyway… that’s it from me for now. I’m off for turkey. Hope your day is a special one. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
