Good Weekend

long way home. I hit 132 out of Modesto to I-580, took Corral Hollow Road through the hills into Livermore. Then I made a detour on highway 130 (Mines Rd.) south into the bay area mountains, up to San Antonio Valley Rd. From there, it was over Mount Hamilton – past the Lick Observatory – and home into San Jose. It took me about four or five hours to get home and I did over 140 miles. It was a VERY nice ride home. Man, my thighs are sore today from all the muscling around on the bike. Of course, the riding technique I was playing around with isn’t exactly one you should use on the road, but still… helped me get through the corners better. I did take the time to focus on better cornering though – forcing myself to look through the corners, instead of AT the corners. It still takes a fair bit of effort on my part, ‘cuz I’m still wanting to check to make sure that the path is clear. It’s a difficult thing trying to remember to look through the corner. But as I can tell you, when you get into the corner a bit too fast, if you’re looking through it and to where you want to go, you’ll have a better chance to get out of said corner in one piece. If you’re looking at the obstacles, you’ll surely hit them. 😉 One of these days I’ll *really* need to take a race riding course and get some track time in. 🙂 One day, maybe… So here I am at home, on thelaptop, watching the closing moments of the F1 race in Italy and chatting on the laptop. It was a good race, but I missed a portion of it. I fell asleep on the Lay-Z-Boy, again. That chair is so comfortable and so warm that I can reliably fall asleep on it with little effort. I think I need to get a foot stool and start sitting on the couch more. heh. Anyhow… That’s it from me for now, I’m gonna get back to reading. I need to be in bed in another several hours and I want to finish this book if I can. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
