Bike to my parents’ place in Modesto. Had a GREAT visit with the folks, but was out like a light at about 10:30pm. Unfortunately for me, I woke up at almost 3am and as you can see, I’m still awake. <sigh> Oh well… So the new job is pretty kickass so far. I have this nice little monitor and a snappy li’l computer (running at 2.66 Ghz with 1Gig of RAM). And they provided me a Kinesis Contour keyboard, too! I did bring my own mouse with me , but that was inevitable… I’m a mouse whore – I’ve now owned a grand total of seven cordless mice and eight corded mice. (only one of which was NOT a Logitech mouse. I’m a fan of their products, can’t ya tell? Okay, enough gushing about the hardware… This company is very cool. They take VERY good care of their employees (and even their contractors). I’m extremely excited and honored to be a part of their team. Hopefully they’ll hire me on after the contract is up. That would so rock. Anyhow, I guess I should go do something productive with myself then. Actually, I’ll prolly go back into the guest room and read until I fall asleep again. Well . . . maybe my heading back for bed awakened you? I slept in the recliner in the living room from midnight until about 3:00, when I awakened, took more aspirin, and went back to bed.
