Gentoo installation promptly went to shit. It seems that grub didn’t like some of the changes I’d made before I pulled the disk and upon reboot it died. I couldn’t even reinstall grub when I’d booted into a rescue environment. UGH! So I’m reinstalling at the moment. But this time I’m installing 1.4, instead of 1.2. Hopefully by tomorrow night I’ll have everything reinstalled again. We shall see. Hopefully I’ll learn a bit about patience when this is all said and done.
