Credible Credit? What A Scam!

Capitol One website and signed up for online access. (BTW, the online access is only for people with outdated versions of netscape or newer versions of internet exploder!) Took a look at my account balance and it was over $460. My card has a limit of $325. Naturally, I suspected foul play, ’cause I’ve kept some pretty excellent records in Quicken. I found out this morning that I *did* go overlimit before the end of the first billing cycle. That garnered a $29 overlimit fee. *DING* Then I noticed that they charged me a friggin’ $59 membership fee. *DING* Another overlimit fee gets assessed. I was NEVER told about the membership fee, and I don’t recall reading about it. <sigh> I should have realized that my credit was too terrible for even a low-dollar limit card. Now it’ll be anothe month or two before I’ll be able to use the card again. Even with the payment I’m going to send in, it’ll only put me about $50 below the limit. I feel cheated. I feel dirty. Ugh. The good thing is that I will be able to make the minimum payment this cycle (about a buck-thirty) and then some. <sigh> when this thing gets paid down, it’s becoming a gas card. Anyhow, enough ranting and raving from me. I’m going back to work. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>

Haha. Don’t those Capitol One commercials say no hassle? Or did I just hear them wrong? ;p
